Love is pricey! You need to sacrifice your time, comfort, resources… everything.
Jesus Christ is our perfect example in that He demonstrated sacrificial love by the finished work on the cross.
Jesus says
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you”.
John 15:12-14 NKJV
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.
Ephesians 5:25, 28-29 NKJV
When there’s true love in a marriage, there will be no mountain too high for the couple to climb for each other.
